NFOG VISITOR PROGRAM 2009

Purpose:
  • Clinical program: To improve clinical skills and/or develop and share the expertise of departments by visiting a highly qualified Nordic Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Research program: To enhance cooperation between Nordic scientists in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

NFOG support is aimed at:

  • Covering travelling expenses and accommodation (if not arranged by the hosting clinic). The total maximum support will be decided by the board of NFOG. Daily allowances are not included.

Length:

  • Minimum 1 week
Applicants:
  • Clinical: Trainees at the final stages of specialization or specialists working at hospitals.
  • Research: Trainees and specialists within the field of obstetrics and gynecology irrespective of position and place of employment (hospital department, clinical practise or research unit).
 

Applications must include:

  • Short CV of the visitor
  • Length of the visit
  • Goal of the visit and how it will be achieved according to the plan accepted in advance by the hosting and sending clinics.
  • Budget of the visit

Important:

From NFOG Visitor Program you can apply support only for future visits, not visits already made. The applicants will be informed of the decisions by the end of January 2009.  

Report:

A written report to the NFOG board should be sent within 3 months after the visit . The report should include evaluation of the visit by the visitor, the clinic hosting the visit and the clinic sending a visitor.
